Is this the dinosaur wedding photograph to end them all?

Stuart Heritage: Photoshopping a Tyrannosaurus rex into pictures of your big day is obviously an unimpeachably brilliant idea. But now someone has gone one better and secured a star appearance from Jurassic Park actor Jeff Goldblum

Wedding photographs are dull. Two people in love, standing next to each other on the happiest day of their lives? Boring. You know what would be better? Two people in love running away from a dinosaur on the happiest day of their lives. Now that's something to get excited about.

The dinosaur wedding photo craze is here, and it's obviously amazing. The idea is simple – you get your guests to hurtle towards the camera looking terrified, then Photoshop a giant Tyrannosaurus rex into the background. The effect is much more dynamic than a regular wedding photo, plus it's going to confuse the hell out of any children you might have.

Unfortunately, this weekend a potentially unbeatable dino wedding shot emerged, featuring Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum as a terrified guest. It's not just a brilliant photo because of the dinosaur – it's brilliant because it captures Goldblum's balletic grace. Who knew you could escape certain death so elegantly?

Does this mean the dinosaur wedding photo is over? Perhaps, but fear not – zombie, Star Wars, Streetfighter 2 and Harry Potter wedding photos are also available. No, really.
