The dislikable, compulsively promiscuous hero of this flashy movie, a Dutch version of Love Story, is a rich adman who looks back on his idyllic marriage to a beautiful woman who has just died of cancer. It touches reality only in the depiction of the wife's pain and disfigurement from radiation, chemotherapy and surgery.
