Joanna Hogg's Unrelated is a stilted, emotionally honest account of a 45-year-old Englishwoman leaving her husband in England to join an old schoolfriend's well-heeled family at a grand villa they've rented near Siena. Much of it unfolds in long takes using an immobile camera and catches vividly the torpor of long summer days and hot nights in the company of smug middle-class people who drink too much, have limited interests and don't get along together.
