Tech Weekly: Xbox and Social Innovation Camp

The head of Xbox in the UK explains why we pay more here for its consoles, and describes how he felt when he first encountered the 'red ring of death'. We also hear from Dr Richard Clayton, who has just analysed the Phorm advertising system, and learn about Social Innovation Camp

Aleks Krotoski is back in the pod for another episode of Tech Weekly.

First up is an interview with Neil Thompson, the boss of Xbox UK, who answers your questions on subjects like the Red Ring of Death, casual games and pricing.

Aleks is joined by regulars Jemima Kiss, Charles Arthur and Bobbie Johnson to discuss Microsoft and its infamous console.

Next we hear Bobbie's report from Social Innovation camp, a weekend hackathon for people who want to save the world that he blogged from the scene. And we talk to Richard Clayton, the privacy expert who has looked into Phorm and doesn't like what he sees. Charles has already written about the details.
