BBC to webcast lottery draw

The national lottery is to webcast its Daily Play Draw on the the BBC website for the first time.

The webcast - to be produced in association with Initial, part of Endemol UK - will be available to view between 9pm and 10pm from Monday to Friday.

On Saturdays, the results will be included in the BBC1 lottery draw coverage on The National Lottery: 1 vs 100 - also produced by Initial and presented by Dermot O'Leary - and National Lottery Midweek Draws, presented by Jenni Falconer on Wednesdays.

The national lottery runs a range of interactive services including games available on national-lottery.co.uk, through an interactive TV service on Sky Active, as well as a mobile phone Play by Text service.

Interactive sales for the 2005-06 financial year were £214m, up £127m on the previous year.
