Johnny Depp (pictured) has filmed a sketch for the BBC comedy programme, The Fast Show. The star, who lives in Paris, is a big fan of the show and managed to slot in some time with Fast Show regulars, Mark Williams and Paul Whitehouse, whilst filming in England. Depp will appear in the sexually provocative 'Suits You' sketch which will be shown on BBC2 at Christmas. To have a look at a photo from the sketch go to the BBC website.

• First we had Gwyneth Paltrow warbling alongside Huey Lewis in her latest film Duets. Now, Minnie Driver announces that she is to release an album with singer-actor Chris Isaak. The pair recently performed together at Toronto's House of Blues club, said music website Music365, and plan to release an album next year. Driver apparently recorded an album back in the early 90s which was never released, whereupon she dropped the idea of becoming a pop star and concentrated on acting. Sam Slovick, Driver's co-producer on the project, said of the music: "The idea is to make the record she wants to make and not succumb to any external pressure, because the reality is she is really, really good."

• The British tabloids are today full of the budding romance between the aforementioned Gwyneth and the heir to the Heinz Baked Beans empire, Chris Heinz. The pair were spotted dining in New York recently and the 27-year-old Harvard Business School student then flew Paltrow to London for a romantic break. A 'close friend' of Paltrow's told the Daily Mirror: "She says he's a breath of fresh air after all the showbusiness boyfriends she's had."

Will Smith has admitted to losing $60,000 in 20 minutes whilst filming The Legend of Bagger Vance in Las Vegas. News website Ananova reports that Smith, shocked at losing so much money in so little time, told his golf coach Ron Del Barrio: "I guarantee you this - you will never see me gamble again." According to Del Barrio, the Men In Black star has kept his word after claiming: "That's how I am, I learn a lesson and I don't forget it."

• Gossip site Peoplenews has reported that Welsh crooner Tom Jones is to sing at the wedding of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones this coming Saturday in New York (see our earlier story). Tom is expected to sing in his native Welsh although it is not clear exactly which song he has been asked to sing.

RefreshMagazine has some 'exclusive' pictures from the set of Jurassic Park 3. Universal Pictures had kept the set firmly under wraps until now, but found it difficult to hide the man-made mountain for much longer.
