Night. An impossibly glamorous diplomatic party. In the master bedroom, Nyah Nordolf-Hall (Thandie Newton) pulls out a make-up case. It starts to emit a series of high-pitched beeps. She moves to a sunken bath in the corner of the room; the beeps get faster. Delving into her case, she produces a series of picks. Finding a slot in the wall beside the bath, she picks its lock - a range of compartments spring out before her.
She looks puzzled, uncertain what to do next.
"I see you've found it."
She spins around to see Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) sitting on the edge of the bath.
"What are you doing here?"
Hunt smirks.
"Think you're the only one who can pick a lock?"
Nyah scowls.
"So, not just a pretty face after all."
Without warning, the host of the party enters. Instinctively, Nyah slides into the bath out of view, pulling Hunt on top of her. Their faces barely an inch apart, Nyah whispers to Hunt.
"Do you mind if I'm on top?"
"No. Either way works for me."
They twist until Nyah is on top.
The host leaves the room again, carrying glasses and a bottle of champagne.
