Leonardo DiCaprio may be hot property in Hollywood, but film buffs have ranked him the most overrated star in the world.
In a poll of 5,000 mainly male readers of Total Film magazine, published next week, the star of Titanic was first in a league of most over-rated actor or director. Second most over-rated was Steven Spielberg, director of Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park, and the Indiana Jones films. Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow was third, and Star Wars director George Lucas and Pulp Fiction creator Quentin Tarantino were fourth and fifth in the overrated league.
Total Film readers' preferred celebrity partner for a pub crawl turns out to be the late Oliver Reed, star of Women in Love but nowadays better known for his drinking.
The favourite weepie was, for some reason, E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial. The top on-screen kiss was between two women, Neve Campbell and Denise Richards in Wild Things. Another pair of women, Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly in Bound, came in at five in the kiss list.
Favourite real-life couple is Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, while Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, stars of Sleepless In Seattle and You've Got Mail, were voted best on-screen partners.
Ms Ryan is also the male choice of an ideal dinner date, no doubt due to the fake orgasm scene in When Harry Met Sally with Billy Crystal.
Women went for ER star George Clooney.
