News that budding artists can now upload their paintings in a few minutes to Saatchi's new virtual gallery (yes, that Saatchi) for nothing is merely the latest development in a surge of creative potential that is sweeping the web. Anyone can now post home-made videos or films to website such as YouTube, PhotoBucket or even get paid from them on revver.com. You can publish a book for as little as £3.60 on lulu.com, post hundreds of photos on flickr.com, promote your pop group on MySpace or get your music sorted or create a personal radio station on www.last.fm. If all this doesn't create a cultural revolution, I don't know what will.
