• Susan Sarandon and Claire Danes (pictured) are set to star in the indie comedy Igby Goes Down, written and directed by Burr Steers. Scheduled to begin filming on February 28, the movie promises a tale of dysfunctional dropouts in New York. Ryan (Cruel Intentions) Phillippe is reported to be in final negotiations to play the male lead, a suburban rebel who leaves home and finds romance in the big bad city.
• Currently drying out at a clinic in LA, pop star Robbie Williams is tipped to make his movie debut in That'll Be the Day, a remake of the cult 1973 British youth flick that kick-started the career of David Essex. Set in the early 50s, the film charts the dawn of rock and roll through the eyes of one everyday teenager. Rather worryingly, Robbie is also believed to be determined to have a hand in the movie's script.
