The best mimic scene

The 1950s. Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) returns to his Italian villa to find his girlfriend Marge (Gwyneth Paltrow) having dinner with the mysterious Tom Ripley (Matt Damon). Having listened to Tom's apologies for showing up unannounced, Dickie turns to him, an inquisitive look on his face.

"Can you mix a martini?"

Tom looks nonplussed.

"Sure", Tom replies hesitantly.

Dickie sighs loudly in disbelief, as Marge laughs and says:

"I'll make it."

She exits, at which point Dickie turns once more to Tom.

"Everyone should have one talent", he says. "What's yours?"

"Forging signatures. Telling lies. Impersonating practically anybody."

"That's three. Nobody should have more than one talent."

He looks Tom up and down.

"OK. Do an impression."

"Now?"

Dickie nods. Tom begins speaking in an uncanny approximation of Dickie's father's voice.

"My son's only talent is for cashing his allowance."

Dickie's jaw hangs open.

"That is too much! You made the hairs on my neck stand up."

He continues for a while, until Marge returns with the martinis.

"Marge," Dickie exclaims, "this is scary. You've got to hear this - meet my father."

Pointless trivia: While studying at Harvard, Matt Damon dated a medical student called Skylar Satenstein, whose name was then borrowed by Gus Van Sant for the character of Damon's girlfriend in Good Will Hunting; Satenstein is now married to Lars Ulrich, drummer of Metallica.
