My Super Ex-Girlfriend

One of those spectacularly misconceived ideas that somehow still make it to the screen. Uma Thurman is superhero G-Girl who, when not saving New York, masquerades as a gallery curator. The "comedy" idea here is that when not saving other people's lives, she is neurotic to an equally super-extreme degree, and uses her powers to make an ex-boyfriend's life hell, interrupting his new relationship with a live shark in the bedroom, and so on.

With Luke Wilson turning in an underpowered performance as the average Joe she unaccountably falls for, this doesn't leave room for much more than lots of reheated CGI. Looking lost in yet another dreadful movie is Eddie Izzard; after The Avengers, you'd think he'd be avoiding the Thurman oeuvre.
