Eddie Murphy proved a ratings puller for Channel 5 last night, with his action thriller Metro drawing nearly 2.5m viewers.
Metro, which features Murphy as a San Francisco police hostage negotiator, went out in the Channel 5 movie slot from 9pm.
The film had 2.4m viewers and a 12% audience share, according to unofficial overnights.
It set Channel 5 up nicely for a strong run of late-night ratings.
Documentary Rankin's Raw Nudes followed Metro from 11.15pm, with saucy drama Red Shoe Diaries taking over between 12.15-12.50am.
Rankin's Raw Nudes had 1m and a 14% share, while Red Shoe Diaries pulled in 0.4m and 13%.
Elsewhere last night ITV dominated the peaktime ratings battle with BBC1, with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? - Couples and Peak Practice running between 8pm and 10pm.
Millionaire had 10m and a 42% share and Peak Practice got 8.1m and 35%.
On BBC1 from 8pm, Animal Hospital kicked off with 6.5m.
A Changing Rooms repeat followed at 8.30pm with just 4.7m; while a Car Wars Special had 5.2m between 9pm and 10pm.
But BBC1 did win the 10pm head to head news battle.
The Ten O'Clock News had 5.2m, just piping News at Ten, with 5.1m.
