It would be hard to come up with a more irritating film than this latest from the Ice Cube production line. The former rapper has been making good money from the relatively wholesome Barbershop films (Boyz n the Hood seems a lo-o-ong time ago) and now has gone headfirst into the family-friendly sector, with the usual horrible results.

For reasons too boring to go into, he's got to drive two brattish kids from Portland, Oregon to Vancouver in Canada, to reunite with mom Nia Long. His clothes are ruined, his SUV gets trashed, his talking baseball statuette won't shut up, and the whole thing ends with a mass brawl on an ice rink. It sounds much better than it is. You can't say you haven't been warned.
