A 25-year-old Norwegian man who some believe is Michael Jackson's son, looks set to play the late singer in a new film, according to reports.
Omer Bhatti is alleged by The Sun to be the result of a brief relationship between Jackson and Bhatti's mother, Pia, in 1983. Rumours were fuelled further after Bhatti sat next to Jackson's siblings at the singer's memorial service last month, and is said to be staying at the family home in California while he seeks a DNA test. In July, Joe Jackson appeared to confirm that Bhatti was his grandson.
Separate sources, however, suggest Bhatti has denied being related to the singer, and is simply a lookalike who lived, along with his family, at the Neverland estate between 1997 and 2004. The Mirror suggests they met after Bhatti impressed the singer with his dance moves while on holiday in Tunisia in 1996.
The proposed biopic will reportedly focus on the singer's early solo career. Filming, according to the Sun, will begin early next year.
Next month sees the release of This Is It, a documentary presenting footage shot during rehearsals for Jackson's planned concerts at the O2 arena.
