Comprising four multiplayer maps, two weapons and Nightfall – adding to the alien-hunting side-game, Extinction – this first bundle of add-on content for Ghosts is a mixed affair. Nightfall is the main attraction, a brisk sci-fi shooter requiring teamwork to destroy the Cryptids' hives. "Fog", easily the best of the maps, throws teams into a horror movie nightmare, with one player cast as Halloween's Michael Myers. Both are thrilling, varied experiences, warranting multiple playthroughs. However, they also illustrate the problem with Onslaught, and arguably Call of Duty as a whole in recent years – the best content is usually the least related to CoD's ostensibly realistic military fare. Of the remaining maps, San Francisco-inspired "Bayview" is frustrating, with metal detectors making stealthy play nigh impossible, while "Containment" and "Ignition" feel overly repetitious of previous series' offerings. Worst, though, is the price – at approximately £12, there's simply not enough content to warrant the outlay.
