Microsoft’s president and chief operating

Microsoft's president and chief operating officer just quit after only a year in the job. He will not be replaced. Rick Belluzzo (you knew that, of course) did not make much impact on the company, which is dominated by Gates and Ballmer, but had a hand in turning round the MSN operation. (MSN is a lot better than it was, even though I hate what they did to Hotmail.) Belluzo spent 23 years at Hewlett-Packard. (The Wall Street Journal has a better account but it's only available to paid subscribers.)
