Mac OS lives on — temporarily

Apple has apparently decided not to enforce the use of its OS X NextStep/Unix operating system on new Macs from next month, "Apple has now said it will continue to sell schools some Macs capable of booting up into Mac OS 9, and will continue to sell a Power Mac G4 geared toward professionals such as graphic designers until June," according to a CNet story.
