SARS could drive up technology prices or worse

Aberdeen Group warns that Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) could lead to quarantines and factory closures in areas of China and Taiwan where the bulk of the world's cheap computer and networking technology is manufactured. Shortages would lead to higher prices, and could produce a "nuclear winter" in the electronics industry, reckons Wi-Fi Web site 802.11 Planet.
