Jennifer Garner has promised not to let slip any more secrets about the forthcoming "Batman v Superman" movie after landing herself "in trouble" by revealing details about her husband Ben Affleck's role in the movie.
Garner's comments about Affleck's new Batsuit, which she described as a "total reinvention", were widely circulated in January. She later told reporters she would be in Detroit this summer because Affleck would be filming there. A number of websites subsequently speculated that Zack Snyder's second Superman film, which remains untitled, would be using the US city for scenes based in Batman's Gotham City home.
Garner told Collider: "I have gotten in some trouble for my little quotes and I'm learning … I thought that I was saying things that were foregone conclusions and it turns out nothing is, and you won't be hearing from me on the Batman front [in future]."
Snyder's film has suffered some negative press following the casting of Affleck as Batman. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, with Jesse Eisenberg as the Kryptonian's nemesis, Lex Luthor, and the Israeli actor Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Filming is due to start this month.
The Warner Bros movie is the sequel to 2013's Superman reboot Man of Steel, which took a decent $668m (£398m) worldwide despite tepid reviews. Earlier this week it was confirmed that the film will go up against Disney-owned Marvel's third Captain America film at the US box office on 6 May 2016.
