Just in time for Christmas, the dream home from the 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street has been put on the market for $3.4m (£2.2m).
The farmhouse, which plays a central part of Mara Wilson’s festive wish, is located in Lake Forest, Illinois. The exact address is 771 Washington Road.
It’s a five bedroom, six bathroom 5,964 sq ft house with a pool that was built in 1924. According to the listing, recent additions include a third floor “man cave” as well as a new pool house.
In the film, Wilson’s character Susan is keen to move into the house for Christmas. The remake, which also stars Sir Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins and Dylan McDermott, was an updated version of the classic 1947 family film.
The original starred Maureen O’Hara, who died last week at the age of 95.
This year has also seen Buffalo Bill’s house from The Silence of the Lambs go up for sale in Pittsburgh for the more affordable amount of $300,000.
