The Independent has reported a dip in daily unique website users of nearly 15% in June, bringing an abrupt end to the three months of solid growth.

The website's monthly uniques fell 17.2% month-on-month fall to 12,793,451 in June, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations figures published on Thursday.
This decline in web visitors marks a reversal in fortune for Independent.co.uk, which had put together a string of increases dating back to March, which briefly saw it overtake Mirror Group Digital to become the fifth-largest national newspaper website in the UK.
Mirror Group Digital, the website network that includes Mirror.co.uk, 3am.co.uk and MirrorFootball.co.uk, is now more than bigger than Independent.co.uk in terms of daily browsers.
MGD grew daily unique users by 1.63% month-on-month to 777,536, although monthly unique browsers fell by 2.24%.
The other major fallers in June among newspaper websites officially audited by ABC were the London Evening Standard and Telegraph.co.uk.
Standard.co.uk saw daily unique browsers drop 11.96% month-on-month to 132,409 and monthly unique browsers fall by 12.57% to 2,934,930.
Telegraph.co.uk reported an 8.7% fall in monthly browsers to 45,613,085, compared to May, and a 7.07% drop in daily unique browsers to 2,353,047.
Mail Online, the most popular UK newspaper website, reported a 4.84% rise in daily unique browsers to 5,882,223 compared to May, while monthly unique browsers rose 2.24% to 93,740,234.
Associated Newspapers stablemate Metro grew daily unique browsers by 3.08% month-on-month to 359,273, while monthly unique browsers drop 4.34% to 8,151,758.
Guardian News & Media's website network, theguardian.com, which includes MediaGuardian, reported a slight fall of 0.88% in daily unique browsers to 3,374,984.
Guardian.co.uk only reports monthly users every other month.
News International's Sun Online reported a 0.1% rise in daily unique browsers compared to May, to 1,528,561. Monthly unique browsers fell 1.53% to 24,973,156.
