Tangled 3D – review

Disney's retelling of Rapunzel lacks the class of a Pixar title, says Philip French

Though produced by John Lasseter, this overlong Disney animated film lacks the wit and invention of a Pixar film in its retelling of the Brothers Grimm fairytale about Rapunzel, the unfeasibly long-haired princess kept locked in a high tower by an enchantress. In this version, she's courted and saved by a handsome thief who takes refuge with her when pursued by palace guards. It's workaday stuff with unremarkable 3D and little mythological resonance.
