If Robert Pattinson is to forge a rewarding career outside of the Twilight franchise, he'll need a better getaway vehicle than this. Remember Me provides some mild domestic spats and lots of picturesque male brooding, but it's a pallid and oddly exploitative affair. Pattinson plays Tyler Hawkins, a kind of millennial Holden Caulfield, right down to the gilded pedigree and precocious little sister. We see him chainsmoke his way through New York in the run-up to his 22nd birthday and the inevitable date with destiny. Tyler, it transpires, is about to be stitched into history in a most cheap and tawdry fashion.
