An interesting minor contribution to the current cycle of post-9/11 movies, Jamil Dehlavi's Infinite Justice is a fictionalised treatment of the Daniel Pearl case, bringing together a politicised, English-educated Muslim and an abducted Jewish-American journalist. The setting for their debate is a cellar in Karachi and they initially appear to be working towards a mutual understanding that unfortunately is not shared by their blinkered superiors, fanatical Islamic zealots on the one hand and ignorant, devious media folk on the other. Overly schematic and simplistic perhaps, but serious and very decent-minded.
