The podcast is a 15-minute downloadable extension of Honda's aspirational Dream magazine, which goes out to 210,000 customers, that includes a selection of three-minute features so listeners can "dip in and dip out".

Honda's first podcast, available later this month, aims to provide lifestyle content to hold consumers' attention.

The podcast feature an interview with a man who became a rock star in six months and a piece on the development of a new breed of eco-homes.

"The website is a huge growth area for us and the more we can drive people to it the better," said Vicky Mason, the customer dialogue manager at Honda.

Honda's podcast has been developed by the car maker's relationship marketing agency, Hicklin Slade & Partners, and is being produced by London radio station LBC. It will be available on Honda.co.uk/i-dream.
